Hailey Cherepon joined the Michigan State Budget Office’s legal team as associate legal counsel, appointed by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. Previously, Cherepon worked as an associate at WilmerHale. She also has clerked for the Hon. Arianna Freeman on the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

Ellen Aldin is now an attorney adviser in the Office of the Chief Counsel for International Commerce in the US Department of Commerce. She joins fellow Michigan Law alumni John Cobau, ’93, (chief counsel), Glenn Kaminsky, ’00, (assistant chief counsel), and Stephanie Zable, ’18, (senior attorney) in providing legal advice to the department’s International Trade Administration.

Danielle Maldonado joined Benesch’s Chicago office as an associate in the firm’s litigation and labor and employment practice groups. Her experience includes defending and counseling employers in labor and employment matters, such as individual plaintiff and representative action litigation, wage and hour litigation, and compliance and workforce-related matters. Previously, Maldonado worked as a labor and employment associate at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP for four years.
